Bishop Kukah Visits Katsina deanery
The Bishop of Sokoto diocese, His Lordship Bishop Kukah visited Katsina deanery for the 2019 cathedradecum celebration. It’s all took place on the 3rd April, 2019 at St. Martin’s De-Porres Parish katsina with many priest within and out of the deanery present.
His Lordship was warmly received by the dean Katsina deanery Rev. Fr. Eugene Nnwanchukwu in company of Most Rev. Fr. Dube, the Parish Priest of the host parish St. Martins De-Porres Parish Katsina.
His Lordship, Bishop Kukah in his homily during the mass celebration reminded all that death now remains our option with the state of things in our country.
He also called on all catholics to note:
Lent is a time for hope, trails though persistent will not last forever, distress is part and parcel of life. Jesus has told us clearly that suffering, pain and uncertainties may be experienced but our hope comes from the Lord. Christianity is a religion of irony as such none of these must not suggest to us that God has abandoned us.
In the presentation of gift to the chief shepherd of the diocese, all churches, missions, parishes within the deanery presented joyously gift his Lordship. Associations, groups and bodies of the deanery on there part also did what is known of them by presenting their widows might too.
Among the associations and groups who did presented to the Bishop were; CWO, KSJ international and the Prestigious National Association of Catholic Corp Members, Katsina deanery led by Mr. Nathaniel Iyo.
The Bishop in his appreciation commended all for such a wonderful show of love and called on all never to get tied in doing God’s work.
The block laying for the Ultra Modern parish hall was also done by His Lordship Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah in the presence of priests of the deanery and worshipers who attend the cathedradecum celebration.
Among priest present at the celebration where; Rev. Fr. Eugene Nwanchukwu, Rev. Fr. Joseph Dube, Fr. Richard Shaibu, Rev. Fr. Eguche, Fr. Celestine Katung, Fr. Christopher Omotosho and Rev. Fr. Lemark Francese the assistant parish priest of St. Martins De-Porres parish Katsina.
